Jonah Hooper
“Jonah Hooper began dancing at the age of 12 in Blue Ridge, Georgia. He trained with Diane Callihan of the Gainesville Ballet School and then received an invitation to join Louisville Ballet Company as an apprentice in 1995. Mr. Hooper went on to join the Atlanta Ballet in 1997 as a company member under the direction of John McFall. He has worked with many contemporary choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Alexander Eckman, Helen Pickett, David Bentley, Stanton Welch, Michael Pink, James Kudelka, Christopher Wheeldon, Twyla Tharp, Jordan Morris, and Laurie Stallings.  Mr. Hooper toured internationally with the Atlanta Ballet and performed principal roles such as Romeo, Pinkerton, Jay Gatsby, Zidler, Rothbart and Dracula. He retired from the Atlanta Ballet in May of 2016 and currently teaches for the Atlanta Ballet, Gwinnett Ballet Theater and the Gainesville Ballet.”
