Gwinnett Ballet Theatre Programming 2011-2012
January 3- May 13, 2011: Classes for Creative Movement, Intermediate, Apprentice, Junior Company, Senior Company and Pre-Professional Company in classical ballet, modern, tap, hip-dop and jazz ongoing at the GBT studios.
February 21, 2011: Southern Regional Ballet Association annual adjudication presentation at the studio.
March 4-5, 2011: Spring Concert at Gwinnett Performing Arts Center. Five contemporary works, a pas de deux from the ballet “Sleeping Beauty,” plus the ballet “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
April 29-May 1, 2011: Southeastern Regional Ballet Association Festival in Montgomery, Alabama. GBT participates in performances and classes.
May 21, 2011: GBT’s annual Spring Recital at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center, Duluth, GA. All students and company members perform.
June 13-July 29, 2011: Summer Intensive: Dance Camps for younger students and dance classes for all levels at the GBT Snellville studios.
August 6, 2011: Annual Open House with in-studio performances.
August 8 – December 16, 2011: Classes for Creative Movement, Intermediate, Apprentice, Junior Company, Senior Company, and Pre-Professional Company in classical ballet, modern, tap, hip hop and jazz ongoing at the GBT studios in Snellville, GA.
September 12-17, 2011: Master Class Series and Choreography with Thom Clower.
November 25-30, 2011: Outreach performances of “The Nutcracker” at Discover Mills, Gwinnett Medical Center Rehab Centers, and Delmar Gardens Retirement Home.
December 2-18, 2011: GBT’s 30th Anniversary production of the Nutcracker at the Gwinnett Performing Ats Center, Duluth, GA. Scout show December 2. Four school shows December 3 and 10 (2 each day) and 11 public performances December 3,4,9,10,11,16,17,18. Two performances each Saturday. The last eight shows performed to the accompaniment of the live, professional GBT Orchestra, Predrag Gosta conductor.
